How is a website created?

The design of a website may seem like a complex project, but when we are accompanied by the right person, everything is realized in a snap of a finger. This type of project is divided into 7 simple steps.

1. Initial meeting with the client

The purpose of this meeting is to enable Audrey Cloutier to analyze the client’s needs. If there is already an existing website and it is a redesign, we will evaluate the points to improve. If it’s for a new website, we will evaluate the objectives of the client with regard to the visual, the content, the size of the web site etc.

2. Construction of navigation

After the initial meeting, a thorough study of the client’s current website is carried out in order to create optimal navigation. If there is no existing website, we establish navigation by analyzing the information that we want to find on the website. This navigation is presented in the form of an organization chart and must be approved by the client before proceeding to the next step.

3. Creation of 2 mockups

The purpose of the models is to allow the client to visualize what their website might look like. Generally, the two models are quite different. One is more conventional, and the other is a little more broken. Following a discussion on customer preferences and comments submitted, we choose a favorite model by leaving the door open for some modifications and a mix of graphic elements. At the end of this step, we have a website visual ready to be programmed!

4. Preliminary programming

It is at this stage that you switch from the static image to a website! The shell of the website takes shape, the colors, the logo and the graphic elements are programmed for the home page and a development link (url) is given to the client so that he can take account of the progress of the project .

5. Insertion of the content

The insertion of content provided by the client is an important step in the project. It is at this point that all internal pages are duly completed and edited so that the relevant information is highlighted.

6. Last presentation

BINGO! Your website is ready. You still have to crawl through each page to make sure everything you want is in your new website. The last minimal corrections are made and we are ready for the big launch!

7. Going live

TADAM !!! Your website is now online. It is subject to search engines and is optimized in SEO to maximize its presence during organic search. You are happy and you want to show your new website to all your friends!
